Well I am a little late posting this blog but so excited to finally share these images! What an incredible wedding Leeanne and Mark pulled off. I don’t think I have ever been a part of a wedding day that oozed as much style, elegance and individuality, not to mention mouth watering food that just kept on coming. I am talking an all you can eat sushi bar, pulled pork and duck sliders prepared while you wait, dozens of yummy hors d’oeuvres being offered by the wait staff throughout the evening and my personal favourite, teeny tiny little cheeseburgers and fries and fish and chips that magically appeared toward the later hours. Ok ok, this is not a food blog, moving on ….

About the couple; Leeanne and Mark, you guys rock! Well Leeanne does anyway, Mark’s a royal pain in the ass, lol. I’m just kidding of course. Mark, you are a riot and despite your efforts to make me put my camera away I am soooooo happy I kept bugging you for more photos. You guys really do make an amazing couple and I can not wait for you guys to add to your family because if you love your future children even half as much as you love your sweet little fur baby, they will be very blessed.

I wish you both all the best on your new life together! xo

Katie and Todd’s Cuba Wedding – Halifax Destination Wedding Photographer

It is one of the greatest compliments a photographer can get, to be flown to a beautiful location to photograph someone’s event. For that I am so unbelievably grateful to Todd and Katie for choosing me and my husband to accompany them to Cuba for a week. I was super stoked to shoot my first destination wedding in years and to spend some time with a wonderful group of people!

Along with the excitement of shooting a wedding in gorgeous Cuba, came the gut wrenching nerves the day before! Without fail, I get the sweaty palms and sick stomach the day before I shoot any wedding but I put a crazy amount of pressure and expectation on myself before shooting this particular wedding. I didn’t just want to do a great job, I wanted to make it my favourite work so far and I wasn’t going to be happy unless I absolutely nailed it.

Katie was absolutely stunning, the weather was perfect and the guys were hilarious. All things combined, it was a pretty hard wedding to screw up! Thanks to the help of my husband/lovely assistant, and Katie’s perserverence despite feeling a little on the fainty side, I am thrilled with how the photos turned out!

Thanks so much again to Katie and Todd. I have no doubt in my mind that you two will grow to be adorable old farts together and your lives will be full of love and laughter !

The Beautiful Baby Bump – Halifax Maternity Photography

As a new mom, I completely understand that during pregnancy we do not always feel our most beautiful. There is a disturbingly long list of unattractive things that go hand and hand with growing a little person in your belly. With this said, I have never met a pregnant woman who didn’t look beautiful and radiant to me. There really is something so magical and feminine about the pregnant body that I love to photograph and Becky takes the beauty of pregnancy to a whole new level! This girl is doing pregnancy right. She is a beautiful woman inside and out and I am so looking forward to seeing her and her husband Brian as new parents. I can tell just by talking to them how much they love their little baby already!

Contemporary Graduation Portraits – Halifax Graduation Photographer

Too often these days, I hear of people wasting their money on a quick graduation portrait they know they will hate, only to please their parents and have something to show for all their hard work. Well it’s about time people realized that they do not have to settle. Graduation portraits do not have to be boring. If you are not into the traditional type head shot but that is exactly what your parents are looking for, no problem! My goal during a contemporary graduation session is to create images that make both you and your parents happy. I will always capture a few classic poses in your school gown, however, I get REALLY excited about the images I shoot without your gown that are meant to show your personality, beauty and style. In the end, everyone is happy

Pets Are Family Too – Halifax Family Portrait Photographer

I have been photographing Derek and Alexa’s family for three years now and I love the fact that they NEVER show up to a family shoot without their two beautiful dogs. I definitely would not call myself a pet photographer by any means however, I could photograph these two beauties any day, and check out these sweet twins! Cuteness overload, that is all:)
